Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

FOR INSTRUCTORS

1. How do I purchase Smart Tech?
Please call the office on 02 6282 8192 if in AUS or email ask@lesmills.com.au

2. Are there any Smart Tech discounts for Instructors?
There are no promotions or discounts happening at this current time.

3. Can I offer LES MILLS On Demand to my members?
Yes, we have sent you a link via email that you can share with your members.

4. Can I live-stream classes to my members?
No. Due to music licensing restrictions, Instructors cannot live-stream the regular Les Mills workouts to members. We have, however, provided your Club with access to temporary live-streaming workouts that use royalty-free music, which can only be streamed via a Club’s official social media channels. Instructors need to speak directly with their Club/s to find out how/if they plan to use this temporary live-streaming solution and how their Instructors can get involved.

5. Can a group of friends stream LES MILLS On Demand in an outdoor space or at home together – obviously with social distancing enforced?
Your local Government directives around group gatherings will most likely dictate whether this is permissible or not. Some regions may be okay with small group gatherings so long as social distancing regulations are in place, while in other areas all unnecessary gatherings are banned. Your best bet is to refer to what is being stipulated by your governing body in your local area.

6. Will the Q2 Quarterly Workshop still happen?
Taking into consideration all that is currently occurring and emerging, Les Mills Asia Pacific has made the difficult decision to cancel all Q2 Workshops in 2020. We appreciate the immense impact this will have across the industry and will keep you updated as information comes to hand.

7. Are IMTs/Advanced Trainings still proceeding?
Due to the frequency at which the COVID-19 situation is constantly evolving in different regions, we have made the difficult decision to cancel some scheduled training sessions, as we believe this to be in the best interest of our Tribe members. You should check the Training pages at https://lesmills.com.au for an updated schedule of IMT and Advanced Training that is currently scheduled to proceed. Please note: due to Government directives in Australia, all scheduled training sessions in this country have been cancelled until further notice.

8. As an instructor I heard we get a free link to access Les Mills workouts. Can I share this with family members and friends?
Firstly, to ensure you can keep exercising regularly, we’ve created special online link for you to access an ever-increasing collection of Les Mills workouts. You can access this free version of LES MILLS On Demand here. You, more than anyone, understands not only the importance of regular exercise, but the health benefits it delivers – and right now, we can all use all the health benefits we can lay our hands on! So, we hope you’ll use and enjoy this streaming service, to help keep your health and wellbeing on track.

Secondly, LMAP is also working on the possibility of enabling live streaming of classes, to help you and your employer/s to get through this unprecedented time. We will come back to you with more information about this, as it becomes available.

You can also rest assured that during this troubling time, we’ll be continuously working with your workplace/s to ensure they too remain supported by Les Mills Asia Pacific. Our goal is to ensure they are strong and ready to open their doors for when “business as usual” is restored.

9. Any plans of offering your online subscriptions for free trial for a month instead of 2 weeks, or whether you are planning to reduce subscription costs in this time of pandemic.
Right now there are a number of offers of free access to LES MILLS On Demand in the market, all designed to support Les Mills Instructors and Club Partners to cope with the impact of COVID-19. This includes collaboration with them to offer their members a time of free access to LES MILLS On Demand (typically 60 days). Note: Any form of free access or trial is only available to new customers of LES MILLS On Demand, not current or former subscribers.
